Significant demographic and societal changes, fundamental technological
advances and continuous globalization, as well as complex multi-stakeholder
issues and resource scarcity define this emerging context. These changing
parameters require new type of leadership.

AIESEC IN HONG KONG
Established in 1967, AIESEC has been active in Hong Kong for 48 years. We have now grown in 7 major universi-
ties in Hong Kong and a membership capacity of over 700 students. Every year we produce leaders that go on to
implement their skills in a plethora of different areas. From large Multi-national Corporations to innovative start-
ups, leadership knows no bounds, and as such AIESEC has shaped many of the great change agent of today.

COMMON AIESEC MYTH
As AIESEC we believe our conferences are centralized around leaders from our local chapters to coming together and
sharing and building on their leadership development. During these conferences the youth experience a new level of
collaboration to ensure that we can synergize and align to achieve our common goal.
Our national conferences bring opportunity to directly interact with the youth from different universities. Our dele-
gates have a strong sense of understanding and openness to opinions that will help them shape their own self-aware-

YouthSpeak is a global youth movement and youth insight survey powered by AIESEC.
This is an opportunity for externals to interact and learn about the mindset of youth globally. We at AIESEC strongly
believe that leaders are the catalyst for change in the world. To be able to see the direction of youth today, and how
the current leaders will help shape the leaders of tomorrow, we need to first understand their mindset. YouthSpeak is an
avenue of opportunity where today’s leaders get a sneak peek into what is the youth public opinion.
We are focused on understanding the challenges surrounding the higher education to employment
journey for young people. Over 100 countries and territories and 50,000 voices will be captured in
this comprehensive survey to engage stakeholders across government, business, and third sector in
letting the voices of young people be heard. Throughout 2015, we will be engaging major decision
makers ranging from the United Nations, universities and some of the largest employers in the world.
WHAT IS YOUTHSPEAK?
Start-ups and entrepreneurship is a big movement happening right now, not only in Hong Kong, but also
globally. Understanding many of the major bottlenecks that are present in start-up industries, AIESEC
helps to alleviate those problems by supplementing proper and aligned human capital.
This program allows global talent with entrepreneurial mindsets to be able to experience working for
start-up companies. Working alongside 9 other countries, we strive to bring the best talent to Hong
Kong, and add to the current momentum of start-ups.
Anew initiative by AIESEC Hong Kong, we understand that the Hong Kong industry needs local talents
with international mindset. This program allows companies to pre-select candidates on opportunities
created by themselves across the globe, and to be able to retain that talent after their traineeship abroad.

The facilitation of AIESEC guarantees the trainee to develop not only an international mindset, but also
the proper leadership qualities that are sought by companies today.
Internally within AIESEC we are dedicated to train our members and talents to have the proper skills to be
able to facilitate our leadership development process. Two of our training programs help train our mem-
bers with soft-skills that are required in every-day businesses.
TRAIN THE TRAINERS
This education programme exists to help train members on how to properly deliver sessions in public speaking,
as well as managing sessions. Flow, Content, Delivery method, and environments are some of the few topics
covered that help our members better understand how they will be able to train others. This rigorous programme
only graduates the best of the best, and gives credibility for our members to train others.
Sales is an important soft-skill that is staple for any successful leader. As we believe that to be able to lead oth-
ers, we must first convince others of our ideas, sales skills are an important asset in our facilitation of leader-
