Kristina Language Arts 6th Grade Third Hour Yosemite National Park Beautiful, amazing, breath taking, those are some of the words one can use todescribe Yosemite National Park. Also historic because long, long ago there was a tribe ofIndians named of course Yosemite. There are lots of stories about them. But there is alsoanother part of Yosemite you might of not know about is the genealogy of the plants and allthe amazing wildlife there. The scenery is breathtaking. The highest point is 13,114 feetabove sea level. You can be on that highest point if you make it up Mt. Lyell. You see thispark it beautiful, historic and much more. There are lots of things to do there, a whole list of things! They include hiking,camping, photography classes, mule or horse back riding, rocking climbing, swimming fishingand much more. The park is even open in the winter! Let the skiing, snowboarding andsledding begin! What ever you pick to do you will have a blast! Where ever you go in Yosemite National Park you will find a fantastic view. No matterif they are for facebook or for your magazine you will be able to get a picture that you want.There are amazing waterfalls, one that goes straight down is the Yosemite Fall. It is one ofthe highest waterfalls. The center piece of it all is the magnificent Yosemite Valley andsurrounding this wonderful piece of land is the Merced River which is 7miles long and 1 milewide. With beautiful mountains coming up on both sides it is a place you will want to be oncein your life. All this beauty deserves a reward! In 2008 National Geographic Adventuresnamed Bridalveil Fall in Yosemite Valley one of the most beautiful places. You see this park isbeautiful in every way you would think. Think of beauty, think of this 747,956 acre park, think of what’s in it. Well there are alot of plants and trees such as the Fir, Oak, Pine and huge Sequoia trees. The Sequoia treescan be up to 2,500 to 3,000 years old. Or think about the animals that are in this wonderfulpark. These animals include the acorn woodpecker, black bear, coyote, jay, mountain loins,peregrine, falcons, the ring tail cat and all the fish and amphibians.
Now you see you can have a blast at the Yosemite National Park. You can do lots ofactivities and much more. You can enjoy the beauty, the history and having fun YosemiteNational Park is the best in the business. That is why it is ranked 4th most visited.
