If we’ve needed their facility or shop foranything, they’ve offered that up. They’ve just been a great local partner.”
In addition to sponsoring the team’s No. 66 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racecar, Porsche of Towson will alsoprovide a Porsche Cayenne as a tow vehicle for the team’s show car, which will be taken around Baltimorethroughout August, including Fort McHenry and M&T Bank Stadium for a Ravens preseason game (Seephotos below). The show car is wrapped in a stars-and-stripes design to commemorate the 200thanniversary of The Star Spangled Banner, which was written in Baltimore after Francis Scott Key watchedthe attack on Fort McHenry. The show car itself was once a winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona race.Team Baltimore Racing also uses the opportunity that the racing spotlight gives them to highlight the goodthat people do in the community. They work with various non-profit organizations, including the Boy Scoutsof America and the University of Maryland Medical Center for Pediatrics.“Baltimore has a lot of great things and great people,” said Team Baltimore Racing co-founder KiefferRittenhouse. “We try to celebrate that and bring that whole community concept in to racing, which I think isimportant. It’s great for our sponsors, it’s great for the brand we’re trying to create, and it’s great for our city.”Team Baltimore Racing will be competing with the help of The Racer’s Group, which will provide the racecarthat will be used on Sept. 1. Bunting will be sharing the wheel with co-driver Spencer Pumpelly, who’s wonthe Rolex 24 at Daytona twice and won the Grand Prix of Mosport earlier this year. Pumpelly has beenracing with Bunting on and off for six years and helped Bunting win the 2006 Rolex Series GT.“[Team Baltimore Racing is] really using the race to support some of the activities that they do off the racetrack, so it’s a good marketing tool for everyone involved,” said Pumpelly, who lived in Baltimore for sometime. “And it’s good to help give back to the community that we know and people want to see it in.”To learn more about The Baltimore Grand Prix, Team Baltimore Racing, Porsche of Towson, and theUltimate VIP Race Experience Sweepstakes please visit http://PorscheTowsonGiveaways.com/.http://www.Tier10Lab.comhttp://www.twitter.com/Tier10Labhttp://www.facebook.com/Tier10Marketinghttp://www.Tier10Marketing.com
