Wicking is a problem that a lot of
carpet cleaners face.
This occurs when trapped soil
moves up from the subflooring or
carpet padding to the tips of the
carpet fibers as it is drying. This is

is to clean in reverse. Here's what
you have to do:
Place a rinse aid inside of your
rinse water. Use the hottest water
possible. A truck mount extraction

cleaning. Use a floor machine and

immediately after the extraction.
Post apply degreaser with an enzyme for
high traffic areas. Then re-rinse and
extract using the water/rinse aid. Dry the
area using air movers.
