Our Sales Floor
The Portage Resale Shop is a Compassion Ministry that
exists to serve Christ in His mandate to :
•Feed the hungry
• Clothe the naked
•Take in the stranger
Hearing the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to love one
another as He loved us, the Resale Shop has been
established to raise funds for ministries of compassion in the
St Peter Lutheran
Nativity of Our Savior
1st Assembly of God
1st United Methodist
Real Life Community
Ogden Dunes Community
Portage Christian Fellowship
•501 (c) (3) Not –for -profit
•We accept donated items.
• We sell them in our retail store, our eBay store,
through Amazon.com or other means.
•With agency referral, we give items directly to those in
•We pay our overhead.
•Our proceeds are then given to local organizations
that share our mission.

•Women’s Center of NWI
•Porter County Aging and Community Service

•Home School volunteers
•Job training and transition to work program for seniors
•Mentoring and Community Service Supervision for young
adults who have been in trouble
•Mentoring and supervision for young adults.
•Turing the resource of court ordered hours into positive
projects in the community.
•Assisting churches, philanthropic organizations, and
individuals in need.
•Instilling a sense of community and giving while providing a
positive role model and mentoring.
•Changing the negative feelings associated with punishment
into positive feelings of accomplishment and philanthropy.
•Have a permanent home for our facility that can house multiple
ministries on one campus.

Volunteers are always needed to lend their unique
gifts and talents. We are currently in need of
•Community service supervisors- especially a female
•Individuals to help sort, price, organize and cashier
• People to help with e-commerce sales on ebay.com
• Marketing , desktop publishing, fundraising, and
what other talents you have to offer.
We are in need of monthly assistance to help
offset operational costs, just as missionaries
abroad, we have expenses that we need to cover in
order to continue in our mission.
We need help transporting our young people to
and from our projects on Saturdays, and also need
help picking up donations around town. The use
of a van for our projects would be wonderful.
•We are hoping to set up drop-off locations at
local churches and businesses as a way to increase
our presence in the community.
•Making regular announcements to your
congregation or organization to help us solicit
items to sell. We also need people to volunteer,
and certainly need more customers.
The more income we generate, the more we can donate. Spread
the word about what we are doing, and come in and have a look

•Cribs, high chairs, baby swings, changing tables, playpens
•Dressers, couches, easy chairs
•Dress clothes for individuals to wear to employment interviews
•Washers and dryers
•Refrigerators, stoves, microwaves
•Bunk bed frames
•Old Jewelry (gold and silver)
•Computers (we do not sell whole computers)
•Older small kitchen appliances
•Old games and toys
•Still in package consumer items
•Name brand merchandise
•Cars, trucks, boats, trailers
Word of mouth advertising is our best tool, stop
in and see what is happening so you can attest to
what we are trying to do.
•Include us in your next newsletter or bulletin
•Provide sponsorship in our name for your next
fundraiser or event
