PRESS RELEASE SESAMES AWARDS: NORWEGIAN SECURITY TECHNOLOGY IN THE FINALS.Rosberg System’s new VerjiLock technology is now in the finals at Sesames Awards. SesamesAwards is one of the most prestigious international innovation awards when it comes to securitysolution in the IT-industry. The award ceremony is to take place on November 5th in Paris, theevening before the Cartes conference (www.cartes.com) in Paris opens. The Sesames Award is given to the most innovative technologies inside IT-security. There areten categories with three finalists in each category, and VerjiLock is a finalist in the categorybest software. Participants from 140 countries compete, and the jury who select the finalistsand eventually also the winner consist of leading experts worldwide inside their respectivefields. To get to the finals is a great achievement and recognition and will create attention fromthe 20 000 professional participants who come to the Cartes conference to pick up newtechnologies and ideas. There will also be more than 200 technology journalists to cover theevent. Previous winners are both big international companies and small innovation companieslike Rosberg. The technology that brought Rosberg System to the finals is called VerjiLock. Roaming deviceshave long been protected by encryption and other keys to protect the data on the device. Up tillnow none have had the possibility to protect the device without sending commands to it if it isstolen or gets out of control. Rosberg System’s VerjiLock solution remediates that by removingthe keys of the device whenever it is locked, hibernates or is turned off. When the keys areremoved it is extremely hard to decrypt or gain access to the data on the device. Using theVerjiConnect solution we can re-equip the keys without user intervention and if the device isstolen the process of sending keys are simply stopped. This connection method has already gained considerable international attention because of itssimplicity and high level of security. VerjiConnect can also connect and wake up a device that isturned off.The combination of these two technologies marks a new level of security within the anti-theftmarket. In addition to securing the data and wake functionality one can add tracking capabilitiesto further enhance the security. Being able to wake up computer devices over a mobile networkcreates an excellent platform for making extremely secured anti-theft solutions.Rosberg System’s place in the top three in the final is also a substantial recognition of our ‘out ofthe box’ thinking, patents and solutions.
