‐ Looking to purchase a property I decided to take the opportunity to become the department manager
when the previous incumbent left the position.
‐ General spread of responsibilities is 60% development and 40% management & admin.
‐ Key Roles and Responsibilities:
‐ Developing a dynamic language and IP specific product brochure site for a global bio‐tech company
‐ Implementation of the continuing TDD driven Agile Scrum (on ScrumWorks) method
‐ Acting as the Scrum Master and lead developer
‐ Using ASP.Net Webforms, custom user controls, SQL views & stored procedures, advanced analytics
integration, Ajax (both .Net and JQuery), animations in JQuery, HTML5 and CSS3, responsive build based
on custom media queries and parallax design and build
‐ Continuing development of the e‐Commerce biased in house CMS
‐ Defining the direction, development and commercial prioritisation of the CMS
‐ Instigated and managed the development of custom user controls and web services to ensure the CMS
would be modular, scalable and flexible. These ranged from custom built controls such as, a shopping
basket to a bespoke form builder with custom built social media service integrations.
‐ Leading the integration with third party API’s such as SagePay Direct, eBay, Amazon MailChimp,
Facebook and Twitter
‐ Ensuring the base platform meets stringent SEO standards with the use of Google snippets, W3C
validation, HTML5, CSS3, appropriat Meta data and tags.

‐ Manager of a team of six, responsible for the success of the department and reporting directly to the
Comms Group Directors, I successfully established myself within the ambitious company and, with my

September 2010 –
Contracting Various – Self‐employed Contracting Web Developer
‐ Having worked in web development for nearly three years I decided to become a contractor so I could
find a better balance between my career as a developer and my passion as a filmmaker.
‐ Key Roles and Responsibilities:
‐ Retained by Digital Paint to continue development work for on‐going ASP.Net / PHP projects
‐ Working with Comms Group my brief was to setup the web department and create a CMS capable of
managing brochure and e‐Commerce websites.
‐ No pre‐existing hosting server, email or domain management systems were in place so I was required to
set these up from scratch as I saw fit.
‐ Recruiting and training the new development team.
March 2009 –
Digital Paint Northampton, Northampton Science Park – Permanent, Senior Web Developer
‐ After the manager decided to move on I was promoted to senior developer out of a team of three.
‐ In the new role I was required to work with the new Manager to oversee the department.
‐ These duties included training of new staff, managing the department budget and workflow, playing a key
technical role in the pursuit of new clients and taking full ownership of new and existing web projects
‐ On top of the usual day‐to‐day development and support duties.
January 2008 –

‐ Hired by Digital Paint to hit the ground running and take over PHP and ASP based projects from the
‐ The company had a pre‐existing CMS platform (PHP & ASP) that I was required to develop on so the initial
months saw me working extra hours to become verse with the platform whilst still carrying out other vital
‐ Along with the senior developer I was the first point of call for technical support and development of
proposals for new client work.

Used varied electronic and computational techniques to perform hardware repairs on Panasonic laptops for

Helping successfully set‐up the Leicester based DE Photo franchise. Worked as a photographer, in the
marketing department and as customer service assistant as well as various other roles.

prize in the annual, multi‐national “Last exit to nowhere” 30 second film competition
2014 – Inducted into the Seven‐Five board to help run and manage the growing film production group
2013 – The Seven‐Five award for contribution was entitled the Narved Plaha Award in recognition of
