I have worked in education for the past 17 years and I'm ready for a new challenge. I started my working career with
years service in the army, I left to care for my seriously ill child who is now a father himself. I've worked in the
field putting my medic experience to use as a CNA. Then as my children entered school I became a
Paraeducatorworking with student with learning challenges where I have been for the past 17 years. I focused on
being a good rolemodel to students by exhibiting and reinforcing positive behaviors. As an education professional I
am driven to create anenvironment that promotes handson learning for children at all stages of the learning
process. I'm a friendly andenergetic para educator with 17+ years in a public classroom environment, coming for a
small rural school with a totalpopulation of 120 students in grades K 6 I believe I can bring in new insight to the
larger classrooms found in thisarea.. Motivated to help students learn and be happy, healthy and wellbehaved.I'm
versed in collaborating with teachersand parents to best meet each individuals unique needs. Attentive to the
physical, emotional, intellectual and social needsof each student. Paraeducator equipped to provide appropriate
learning techniques and behavioral redirection forchildren with learning disabilities and behavioral disorders. During
this time I supplemented my income by working in theretail field. I've worked for the Music Stand in the call center
as customer service rep., Ames dept. Store in the Jewelery
department, and Ocean State Job Lots 404 at the customer service desk and cashier. I strive to meet the teachers
andstudents learning goals while maintaining patience, professionalism and caring enviroment.No matter the
position I'm working be it in education or retail I strive to maintain professionalism, and meet the needs ofthe client.
