The surrounding HirosakiPark around the castle grounds is one of Japans most famous cherry blossom spots. Over a million peopleenjoy the parks 2600 trees (which were originally planted around in grounds in 1903). Entry fees will be atparticipant’s expense. Liberty is starting up a new program for YOU! After making a group of four people, contact the Program Office to see if we can accommodate your request for a custom trip. Once YOUR destination and schedule is coordinated with our office, then the trip will be advertised on our facebook page for your shipmates to join. Trip scheduling will be dependent on Liberty staffing and existing commitments, but we will make every effort to get you out the gate. Liberty Program Office Hours: From 1100-1800 Monday to Friday the Liberty Office will be staffed to take your calls, register you for trips, and anything else we might help you with. The office will be closed on Federal Holidays and weekends. For assistance outside of those times, a list of volunteers with access to the space is posted outside the office door. All trips must be paid for in exact change, please have this prepared prior to your registration. Liberty is looking for new volunteers; trip and activity leaders especially.
