4 Ways to Upgrade Your Pool This Summer
Everyone knows that one of the biggest parts of summer is finally taking the cover off your pool
and blowing up all the rafts to get ready for the three month holiday. However, pool owners
know that there is always the one big reveal when you see that maybe your pool could use a little
upgrade. Here are some easy ways to make your pool look cool this summer!
1. Buy a Chlorinator
There are so many new energy efficient tools to have installed to your pool. Salt water
chlorinators are decently new to pool technology, but it has gained its popularity by expelling the
need for liquid chlorine, granular chlorine, or chlorine tablets. When your pool is showing a lack
of chlorine presence, salt is converted to chlorine in an easy chemical process. These chlorinators
take out the hassle of having to monitor your own chlorine levels.
2. Jazz It Up With LED Lights
Strictly for visual effect, LED lights are another upgrade to look into. This lighting can be easily
inserted into the walls or floor of your pool / home spa. These lights would add value to your
pool by keeping it esthetically pleasing well after sundown. Fiber optic lights can also be
adjusted to fit the appropriate mood. So, whether it is a romantic night or a backyard bash, these
lights are on your side to keep the party going.
3. Install an Electronic Auto-Fill System
These new electronic auto fill systems take out your morning maintenance trips to your pool.
Over time, it is inevitable that water levels in pools go down as a result of evaporation. No pool
owner is shy to the fact that when water levels are too low, the drains and filters cannot function
properly, then all you hear that disturbing gurgling noise. So, take the hose out of your pool, and
look into installing an electronic auto fill system.
4. Consider a Design Change
Whether you are looking into building a pool, or are tired of looking at your old one, people are
beginning to modernize their pool shapes to make them look like more like spas. Some
swimming pool contractors have placed pools alongside makeshift hillsides to make it look as if
the pool is the result of a waterfall. Get creative! If you have the standard metal ladder, take it
out and look into a more visually pleasing design. Make it a place that you can't get away from.
