The National Multiple Sclerosis Society has been adopted to benefit from the First Annual MLKFamily Gospel Brunch and Skate Jam. More than 10,000 people are living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) inCentral Florida. Proceeds from the skating event will help empower people living with MS to “get moving”as some will “get rolling,” during this fun, family event.MS is an incurable, chronic disease of the central nervous system. MS interrupts the flow of informationbetween the brain and body, causing unpredictable symptoms that can include numbness and blurredvision, as well as paralysis or blindness. Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, withtwice as many women as men affected. The National MS Society funds more MS research, provides moreservices to people with MS, offers more professional education and furthers more advocacy efforts thanany other MS organization in the has been hosting the Soul Roll Invitational Skate Jam in Tampa Bay for the last threeyears. The event attracts adult roller skaters from as far as London, New York, Los Angeles and SanFrancisco. The Invitational is a three day celebration to mark the 8th year anniversary of the Sunday NightSoul Roll, a roller skating session that gave mostly urban, African American adults a place to dance in analcohol and drug free environment on their skates.Come GetYourSk8On and JOIN THE MOVEMENT toward a world free of MS by participating in the FirstAnnual MLK Family Gospel Brunch & Skate Jam. Award-winning Gospel entertainer, DJ Joe Bowen ofChicago will play contemporary Christian music, offering fun for the whole family. IHOP will be on-siteoffering a FREE BRUNCH while it lasts.
