CHARLOTTE – November 17, 2015 – 2U Laundry, a premium door-to-door
laundry and dry cleaning delivery service, has launched in Charlotte. Co-founders Alex
Smereczniak, Sam Salin, and Dan Daquisto were brought together by one common
belief: nobody enjoys laundry, but everybody needs a more free time.
What began as a classroom project at Wake Forest University with just $40 in capital
has now developed into a fully-fledged LLC partnered with local businesses to serve the
greater Charlotte area. On average, one load of laundry takes two hours. For a Charlotte
family of three, that translates into 20+ hours spent on laundry per month. 100% of 2U
Laundry’s clients have a washer and dryer in their home but understand the value of the
time that 2U aims to give back to them with premium laundry delivery services that
were, until just twoweeks ago, only available on the West Coast.
The concept is simple: clients simply sign up for one of four laundry plans, create a
preferred pick-up schedule, and let the professionals take care of the rest while out
enjoying their new found free time.
By being involved in the community and partnering with local businesses such as Local
Loaf and Planet Aid, 2U Laundry differentiates itself from the competition by ensuring
that every step of the process is time and environmentally friendly. Aside from recycling
clothes hangers and reusing laundry bags, clients are also encouraged to give back to the
community by cleaning out their closets and participating in clothing donation
campaigns throughout the year with Planet Aid.
Alex, Sam, and Dan fully believe that laundry services such as theirs will become
commonplace in the future. 2U Laundry wasn’t created to simply prevent the citizens of
Charlotte from starting a load and not finishing it or spending countless hours folding;
2U Laundry was created to ensure that the citizens of Charlotte will never have todo
their laundry again.
