Pompeii and the Vesuvian God
Do you know that famous number in the Book of Revelation? That's right, 666. It is famously reputed to be the mark of the devil. In this novella I explain it is the number of years back in time from the year Vesuvius destroyed Pompeii and Herculaneum in 79 A.D. to the year of birth of the Greek philosopher and mathematician, Pythagoras: 587 B.C.

Do you know that famous number in the Book of Revelation? That's right, 666. It is famously reputed to be the
mark of the devil. In this novella I explain it is the number of years back in time from the year Vesuvius destroyed
Pompeii and Herculaneum in 79 A.D. to the year of birth of the Greek philosopher and mathematician,
Pythagoras: 587 B.C.. In the New American Standard Bible there is a 666 footnote indicating some missals report
the numerical reference as 616. In this novella I explain 616 years back from 79 A.D. is the year in which
Pythagoras figured out impossibility-resolved social choice theory, 537 B.C. It is the single historical event that
caused the transition from polytheism to monotheism.
The novella explains the Romans stole Pythagorean secrets from him on pain of death and the death of his wife in
528 and 532 B.C., respectively. It appears Pythagoras, before he died at the hands of the Romans, uttered three
punishment prophecies. The first was that the Lord of the universe would steal back the papyri holding his socio-
economic secrets, the very secrets that built the Roman Empire. The Vesuvian destruction of Herculaneum
destroyed the Pythagorean papyri. I allege the document had been stored in the former house of the father of
Julius Caesar, the Villa of the Papyri.
The second Pythagorean Punishment Prophecy was that the Lord of the universe would crush the upstart church,
which was also built upon his stolen secrets. The Vatican would be in Pompeii today but for the 79 A.D. Vesuvian
destruction. The final fulfilled Pythagorean Punishment Prophecy was the fall of the Roman Empire, generally
reputed to have occurred in 476 A.D.
It was after the fulfillment of the final Pythagorean Punishment Prophecy the Church directed certain matters to be
accomplished. The novella explains my theory that the Church directed the formulation of the Anno Domini and
the writing of scripture circa 500 A.D. My theory is it took deliberate steps to mask the real age of scripture's
writing. It did so with a devious objective: find the reincarnation of Pythagoras and his wife before their spirits
would lead the world to the truth. Also note how the Anno Domini has no year "zero." It is a deliberate accounting
to enumerate 666 years back to the year of Pythagoras's birth.
