  • 1. Press Release Law Firm Intern Goes the Extra Mile Philadelphia, PA-October 23, 2013-In the short time Christina Iannetta was employed as file clerk with the Cooper & Schall Law Firm, located in Center City Philadelphia on 20th and Market, she reorganized, revamped, and condensed their entire filing system. In December 2012, Christina took the initiative to ask if she could clean up and organize the file area, including discarding all closed files. Naturally, they encouraged her to go for it. She began by checking each file in the drawers to see if it was a closed or open case. The attorneys discovered that many were, in fact, closed. She proceeded to take those files out and double-checked to make sure that all of the open files were in alphabetical order. She also ensured that the drawers had some wiggle room, rather than be jammed and stuffed with files. Charles Cooper told us, "Christina told us that it was a long, tiring process, but made her feel good and like she was accomplishing something sustainable." She even cleaned the tops of the dusty file cabinets while gathering all the old, obsolete records and trash. Anything that was still a part of the current files, such as some remaining binders of claimant medical records, she put carefully into alphabetical order and in close proximity to the drawer in which the rest of the file was housed. Since all the drawers were being condensed and rearranged into a more efficient and organized system, she also made a point to re-label all of the drawers. Reflecting her extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills, Christina didn’t continue a letter into the proceeding drawer. It may sound a bit over-the-top but they say it made finding files much quicker. Eventually, she finished the revamping project and all at Cooper & Schall were pleased by the final product. In the end, all of the files were neatly stored away in their correct place and the cabinet tops were cleared off, organized, and dirt-free. About Cooper & Schall, P.C.
