It is a famous Andhrasweet that is quite similar to puran poil fromnorthern part of India.Servings: 3Preparation Time: 10 minutesCooking Time: 45 minutesDifficulty Level: AverageIngredients:1 2/3 cups rice flour1/2 cup black gram or Urad dalPinch of salt1 1/4 cups Bengal gram or Channa Dal3/4 cup grated jaggery (granulated sugar can be substituted)1 1/4 cups fresh grated coconut1 teaspoon cardamom powderPreparation Instructions:Soak rice flour and Urad dal overnight, or for at least 6-8 hours, then grind it into a thick paste. Add apinch of salt and set aside.Put Bengal gram in a pan with enough water to cover. Bring water to a boil and cook until tender. Removefrom heat, drain out excess water, mash it, and grind into a smooth paste.Add grated jaggery, coconut and cardamom powder. Return to heat and and cook to get a smooth paste.Remove from heat and set aside to cool.When ready, shape into small balls and set aside.Heat some oil in another pan.
