SAVANNAH ARMY RESERVE UNIT DEPLOYING TO THE MIDDLE EAST
Savannah, Ga. — The 366th Chemical Company, an Army Reserve unit, will deploy to the
Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Spartan Shield.
WHO: Approximately 100 Soldiers and their Families.
WHAT: Deployment ceremony for 366th Chemical Company Soldiers.
WHEN: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015
WHERE: In the gym of the Army National Guard Building at 1248 Eisenhower Drive,
Savannah, Ga. 31406.
BACKGROUND: The 366th Chemical Company will support chemical, biological, radiological,
and neurological (CBRN) operations in the U.S. Army Central Command area of responsibility,
which stretches from East Africa to Afghanistan.
Savannah-Chatham Metro (SCMPD) Police Chief, Chief Joseph Lumpkin and 335th Signal
Command (Theater) Deputy Commander, Brig. Gen. James Blankenhorn, will speak at the
Patriot Guard Riders will provide motorcycle escorts for the Soldiers departure to the airport on
Sunday morning, April 26, 2015 at 7:15 a.m.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Media representatives interested in covering the ceremony,
please contact Capt. Hai Tu at (507) 271-8404. Please be prepared to arrive 30 minutes prior
to the ceremony at 10:30 a.m. to set up. SFC Anthony Florence will be your media escort
during the ceremony.
